The 207 offers a good range of diesel engines with 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre versions. Both models continue Peugeot's long tradition for strong diesels. Both deliver a good spread of power across the rev range and are fairly refined too. The 1.4-litre model is nippy enough for town driving and capable on the motorway but the 1.6-litre has more power, which is noticeable when overtaking on back roads.
